Good footy. Great fun. And mateships that have stood the test of time.
In 1969, the Macquarie University Rugby League Football Club (MURLFC) was founded. By 1990, the Club had been disbanded, only to be revived once again in the late 90's. But between the years of 1969 and 1988, MURLFC enjoyed great success both on and off the field. This was thanks to those that gave their time, their effort and their love for the game to build a football club that represented everything that is great about sport in this country. For many who were involved with MURLFC during this "golden age", it was more than just a football club. It brought people together from all ages, abilities and walks of life together for a moment in time. Playing hard, partying hard, standing up for your mates, running yourself into the ground, taking the pain and dishing it out - these have a profound effect on an individual's character and builds strength in the collective. Three decades on, the memories of what it meant to be a part of MURLFC during this time are still as fresh for some as the day they played. This website is a testament to those who played, coached, trained, administered, supported, and gave what they had for MURLFC.
